ENJOYING DAYS OFF IN DUBAI

At the end of November, my mum came to Dubai for couple of days. It was right after my annual exams which we have to take every year (obviously) to be able to fly again for another year. I successfully passed all of them so I could enjoy the days with my mum to the fullest.

Since it was my mum's third time in Dubai, it becomes harder and harder to come up with a list of activities and sights for her. It was also uncertain whether she would make it on board the plane or not because her ticket was waitlisted so I couldn't really plan anything in advance. Almost at last minute, she was accepted on board and it made me so happy that we wouldn't loose a day together.

This time, my mum came for 4 days (and she is coming again for Christmas). The first day was Friday so the plan was set. Every Friday, there is a market here in Dubai, in the Zabeel Park. People sell their own products, food, basically anything there is to sell and it was so nice to finally go there since it was on my list of things to do in Dubai for almost a year.

There are so many different restaurants all over Dubai. So I took my mum to my favourites and I already know where to take her in December. Eggspectation restaurant is one of the best for me and their tuna steak is to die for. Have you ever been there?
On my mum's request, we also spent some time on the beach - there is a new beach place here in Dubai which was open in November, it's called La Mer and it is such a nice place. It is not that far from where I live, the place is brand new and well maintained. Definitely one of the places to spend a lovely day at.

Of course, we couldn't miss the shopping spree in Dubai Mall as well as seeing the fountains. On one of the days, we also took the trip to Al Ain which is next to Oman and is called The Garden City. At the end of the day, we took a taxi to the Jebel Hafeet which is the Emirates highest peak. At the very top, there is a hotel built too, which, to be honest, I am not sure many people stay in.

All in all, we spent lovely 4 days together and I can't wait to welcome my mum here in Dubai again at the end of December.
